Vadodara division to celebrate 'Rail Humsafar' week
VADODARA: To mark the completion of two years of Central government, the Indian Railways is planning to observe 'Rail Humsafar' week from Thursday to June 1.
The Vadodara railway division of Western Railway will also organize various campaigns and programmes during the week.
While 'Swachchta Diwas' on Thursday will include cleanliness drive in trains and on stations in which NGOs and scout guide will join the railway staff, 'Satkaar Diwas' on Friday will be a drive related to catering and drinking water facilities on the trains and stations.

On Saturday, 'Sewa Diwas' will be observed during which an officer designated by the division will visit the passengers from 10 am to 4 pm to get feedback about the railway services. The complaints and suggestions from passengers will be reported to the divisional railway manager (DRM) to provide better facilities to the passengers.
On May 29, on 'Satarkata Diwas' - punctuality of all the trains passing through the division will be monitored. Apart from that, ticket checking drive will also be undertaken on the same day.
The division will observe May 30 as a 'Saamanjasya Diwas'- during which the railway officers will inspect the railway colonies and staff sports activities as well as tress plantation will be undertaken.
On 'Sanyojan Diwas' on May 31, DRM will meet freight consumers to know their problems and decide time frames for the solutions.
