Torino have confirmed Sinisa Mihajlovic as their new head coach on a two-year deal after the departure of Giampiero Ventura.
The 47-year-old Serb has made a swift return to management after being sacked from Serie A club AC Milan in April.
Shortly before Mihajlovic's unveiling, his predecessor Ventura announced he was stepping down as Torino head coach after five years in charge.
Ventura is now the favourite to take over as Italy coach from Antonio Conte, who is set to take charge of Chelsea after this summer's European Championships.
Mihajlovic will be tasked with improving on Torino's 12th-placed finish in the league this season and said he was looking forward to getting started.
"I'd like to thank president Urbano Cairo, sporting director Gianni Petrachi and all of Torino for the faith shown in me," Mihajlovic told the club's official website.
"To be able to work at a club with such a glorious and prestigious history like Torino fills me with a huge amount of pride."
Torino president Urbano Cairo offered his thanks to Ventura and praised his role in laying the groundwork for a successful future under Mihajlovic.
"We would like to thank Ventura for the great work done together and for the fantastic results obtained in this experience rich with mutual satisfaction," he said.
"I believe that after the excellent work alongside Ventura and his collaborators, the coach Mihajlovic will be the ideal choice to continue the path taken in recent years."
