Entertainment » OtherPosted at: May 25 2016 8:12PM Army chief visits encounter site in ManipurImphal, May 25 (UNI) Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh visited the encounter site at Chandel district today in the aftermath of the insurgent attack on Assam Rifles convoy in Chandel District on May 22 in which one Junior Commissioned Officer and five soldiers died.General Dalbir Singh, Chief of Army Staff, alongwith Lieutenant General Praveen Bakshi, Army Commander, Eastern Command, visited 29 Assam Rifles battalion and interacted with the troops.The chief of Army Staff interacted with Major General VS Sreenivas, IG AR (South) and Commanding Officer of the battalion and was briefed on the incident including the combing operations in progress and the measures undertaken to neutralise the insurgent group involved in the attack.
