Bosch Ltd registers growth of 9.5 percent

Bengaluru, May 25(UNI) Technology major Bosch Limited has
registered positive development across all business sectors with a
net sales and income from operations of Rs 10,415 crore for 2015-16,
an increase of 9.5 percent YoY.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased by 23.6 percent and stands at
Rs 1,859 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 1,245 crore
a 23.2 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
''All business sectors have developed positively in the past 12
months,'' Steffen Berns, Managing Director of Bosch Limited, said.
Speaking at the company’s annual press conference, he said for
the quarter ended March 2016, net sales and income from operations
increased by 12.2 percent. The Board that met here today decided to
propose Rs 85 per share as annual dividend and also passed a
decision to invest Rs 770 crore capital investment that goes towards
building new manufacturing plants in Nashik in Maharashtra,
Bengaluru and Bidadi on the outskirts of the city.
He said Bosch’s Mobility Solutions business sector grew by 8.5
per cent in the 12 month period.
The domestic business developed strongly and increased by 11.5
per cent, outperforming the domestic automotive market which grew by
3.7 percent in the same period. Within the Mobility Solutions
business, the Gasoline Systems division registered a strong
double-digit growth. The Diesel Systems and Automotive Aftermarket
divisions also performed well.
However, Exports witnessed a drop of 5.7 per cent due to weak
export markets, especially in Russia, Brazil and China, Dr Burns
said.
The Bosch business sectors beyond Mobility Solutions posted
double-digit growth driven by Security Systems, Packaging Technology
as well as Energy and Building Solutions divisions.
For the fourth quarter of the just ended fiscal the company
posted net sales and income from operations of Rs 2,635 crore, an
increase of 12.2 per cent over the corresponding quarter of 2015.
