Michael Schumacher is 'reacting' to treatment: Ex-Ferrari boss

New Delhi: In what could be a huge sigh of relief for F1 fans across the world, Michael Schumacher's ex-boss Luca Di Montezemolo has said that the legend is “reacting” to treatment.

Mr Di Montezemolo said: “I’m very pleased to know that he is reacting.

“I know how strong he is. I’m sure that thanks to his determination, which will be crucial, he will come out from this very, very difficult situation. And I really hope.”

Even though the former F1 boss did not elaborate on what he meant by “reacting”, it is finally some positive news for Schumi's fans who have been praying for his recovery.

The seven-time Formula One world champion suffered traumatic injuries after hitting his head against a rock while skiing in Meribel, France in December 2013.

He plunged into a six-month coma, followed by a lengthy spell receiving intensive hospital treatment.

The 47-year-old is still receiving intensive treatment far from the public eye at his home in Switzerland.
