Entertainment » OtherPosted at: May 25 2016 11:10AM AIADMK MLA-elect Seenivel passes awayChennai, May 25 (UNI) Sixty-Five-year old All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam ( AIADMK) MLA-Elect S M Seenivel, who had won from Tiruparankundram Constituency in the Assembly Election held on May 16, passed away at a private hospital today. Mr.Seenivel defeated his rival Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Candidate M Manimaran by a margin of 22,992 votes. He was hospitalised last wednesday, a day before the results of election came out, as he suffered a stroke. He was later admitted to a private hospital in Bibikulam in Madurai. Seenivel's Son S Selva Kumar told media that the condition of his father gradually deteriorated since then and shifted him to different hospitals in between for better treatment. He is survived by his wife, son and three daughters. Though Rumours spread last week that Mr. Seenivel had passed away, they were quickly denied by the family.
