Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal, a partner of Atlas Wings Travels, has announced the official launch of its new route to Qatar. From July, the airline will be flying daily between Istanbul's Ataturk Airport and Doha's Hamad International Airport.
The announcement was made at an event on Tuesday.
It was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Qatar HE Ahmet Demirok, representatives of AtlasGlobal, partner of Atlas Wings Travels Sultan al Dosari, partner of Atlas Wings Travels Hamad Saleh al Qamra and a number of businessmen from Turkey and Qatar.
AtlasGlobal representative Murat Erosy said an Airbus A320 will be operating between the two destinations.
"Qatar-Turkey relations are booming at all levels, including economy and tourism. As a result, the number of travellers between the two nations is growing every year," Murat told Qatar Tribune.
He said he was proud Turkey had become a popular destination for Qatari tourists and businessmen."We hope to have a good share in the market as our company offers several advantages to passengers at competitive rates," he added.
Sultan al Dosari said Qataris passengers will benefit from our services."Our company is offering first class fares at 50 percent less than the other carriers. We plan to expand add new routes in the GCC region," Dosari added.
