Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has again arrested Bedi Ram, the kingpin of MPPSC paper leak of 2013, along with one more accused from Gurgaon.
He had been earlier arrested in July 2014, but was absconding for more than one-and-a-half years after coming out on bail.
This time, court has sent him to police remand till June 2. "Bedi Ram and his cousin were arrested from Gurgaon.
Bedi is the key accused in Ayurvedic Medical Officers' Exam and MPPSC paper leak case", AIG STF Ashish Khare told TOI.
In July 2014, he was arrested by STF in connection with leaking Ayurvedic Medical Officers' Exam paper and MPPSC's paper leak of 2013. But, he was granted bail in a couple of months and was absconding since then, said STF sources. Bedi's name surfaced for the first time after two fraudulent candidates were arrested while giving examination for recruitment to the post of loco pilot and technician in July 2013.
In the past, Bedi has been behind bars four times and has even spent some time in Tihar Jail after CBI had arrested him in 2012.
His infamous leak cases also include 2011 Chhattisgarh Pre-Medical paper, Delhi Pre-Medical test paper, Ajmer Railway Recruitment Board paper and Allahabad Railway Recruitment Board paper.
