Narrow bridge turns fatal for 23-year-old woman

Shivamogga: A 23-year-old woman was killed in a ollision between a tipper and a scooter. The deceased is Akshata, 23, a resident of Hunasodu village. She was working in a private company. The incident took place on a narrow bridge at JH Patel extension at Sominakoppa on Tuesday.
Suneetha, 24,was riding the two-wheeler while Akshatha was riding pillion.They were heading to Suneetha's house which was nearby. When they were passing near the bridge a speeding tipper hit the scooter from behind. Akshatha lost control and fell down and was crushed under the wheels of the tipper. Suneetha suffered serious leg injuries.
After the accident local people blocked th e road demanding immediate expansion of the narrow bridge which has turned into an accident zone. Police registered a case and took the driver of the tipper in to custody.
