Anandiben meets Modi, Amit Shah in Assam

Gandhinagar: Chief minister Anandiben Patel on Tuesday, in Guwahati at the sidelines of the Sarbanand Sonowal's swearing-in ceremony - the first BJP CM in Assam - met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.
This was their first meeting after rumours flooded the state that Patel was about to be replaced as CM and appointed governor of either Haryana or Punjab.
Sources close to the development said: "The CM met the PM and Shah but what transpired in their meeting is not known as it was private meeting."
There was widespread speculation in the state's political circles that CM complained to Modi about a move to destabilize her government and the BJP in Gujarat by key BJP leaders in the state.
The CM reportedly formally met Shah, but whether there was any discussion about the political situation in state is not known.
