‘Save Chamundi’ call intensifies

The ‘Save Chamundi’ campaign is getting stronger with each passing day as members of various organisations have been staging protests against the development works proposed by the government atop the hills.

A protest was staged at the foot of Chamundi Hills on Tuesday as the agitators sent text messages to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Forest Minister B. Ramanath Rai and Minister in-charge of Mysuru district V. Sreenivasa Prasad, opposing the development plans.

The protest was staged under the banner of Arivu organisation. Meanwhile, Mysuru Rakshana Vedike members also staged a demonstration near Devaraja Market.
