Rajathi Naina Mohamed, DMK councillor from Ward 7, staged a protest of hours in front of the Municipal Office here on Tuesday demanding supply of drinking water to her ward. Accompanied by her husband Naina Mohamed, she brought empty pots and placed them at the entrance to the office to draw the attention of the officials. Officials clarified that some crack in pipes had resulted in suspension of supply of water for the past 15 days. They said that action would be taken to restore supply from Wednesday.
