Lucknow: A prayer meeting was organised in front of Gandhi statue in Hazratganj in the memory of Aarushi Talwar by 'Justice Now', a social media based group on her birthday on Tuesday. It was followed by a silent candle march and tree plantation programme.
Displaying hand held boards reading 'Justice delayed, Justice denied', 'Innocents in jail without evidence' and 'We want justice', the participants from all walks of life appealed to put the case on fast track.

Record of a song, composed and sung by class IX student of La Martiniere College, Chahat Malhotra, 14 was released on the occasion. Its video is a tribute from a daughter to her parents who have been "unlawfully entangled" in the case since 2008. The song pleads with the legal system to spare her parents the extreme agony so that her soul rests in peace has been uploaded on YouTube. The organization has conducted three protests against "injustice" meted to the Talwars. In charge of the campaign Swati Bajpai said, "It is a small step towards demanding justice. We have researched and dug into the case since 2008. People of the country should find out more."
A plantation drive was also initiated near Birbal Sahani Institute at New Hyderabad in the morning.
