SOCCEROOS captain Mile Jedinak has been cleared to face arch enemy England on Saturday morning, despite missing the first session.

Jedinak was wrapped in cotton wool after a draining 120-minute outing in Crystal Palace’s 2-1 FA Cup final loss three days earlier, where he engaged in an enthralling physical midfield duel with Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini.

Having forced his way back into Palace’s first XI after being benched early in the season, Jedinak is among the players with plenty of miles in his legs after notching 35 appearances in all competitions.

Jedinak did an indoor recovery session before emerging at the Sunderland’s training ground midway through the session.

The other 22 players completed a full session, with just two trainings left before the clash at the Stadium of Light.

Defender Bailey Wright said the first session in an international camp was generally an adaptation one.

“It was good, everyone’s come in from all over the world and a few from here, a few from Australia,’’ Wright said. “First one’s about getting jet lag out of the system nice and early and for some of us just to keep topping up and keep preparing for Friday.’’

The Game AFL 2024

England manager Roy Hodgson revealed that Man United striker Marcus Rashford will make his international debut, but said he won’t tinker with the side too much so close to Euro 2016.

The Three Lions host the Socceroos on Saturday morning (4.45am AEST) and Portugal at Wembley six days later before opening their Euro 2016 account against Russia on June 11.
