I'd do good roles than pick more films: Priyanka Nair
State Award-winning actress Priyanka Nair has been carving a niche in South Indian film industry since her debut film Veyil. Her latest role as the sex worker C K Bindhu in filmmaker Ranjith's Leela received praise, even though it was just a cameo.
The actress, who is currently busy with the shoot of a female-centric offbeat Malayalam movie, says that she is happy about the way her career has shaped up.
'I have been extremely lucky to grab roles that actually satisfy me as an actress ' be it in commercial or offbeat movies,' says Priyanka, who was also part of 'Jalam' and 'Kumbasaram'.
The actress adds that she prefers quality over quantity, when it comes to choosing her roles. 'In 'Leela' I only have one scene but when the film was released I received a lot of calls appreciating my performance. What I believe is that when we become part of a movie, the role and the performance should stand out in the minds of the audience. The length of role doesn't matter,' she says.
