Afghanistan officials to be trained at Gujarat-based institute

12 officials from Afghanistan are participating in the 11-day-training course. Eight topics in the domain of ICTM will be delivered by five faculties from DAIICT. In addition to lecture in the pre-lunch session, lab sessions are also planned in the post lunch session.

AHMEDABAD: Gandhinagar-based Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Communication and Technology (DAIICT) and Sanguine Management Services of Ahmedabad will jointly organise a training Course on Information and Communication Technology Management for UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (UN-FAO) and Ministry of Energy and Water officials of Afghanistan during May 23 to June 3 2016 at the institute here.

12 officials from Afghanistan are participating in the 11-day-training course. Eight topics in the domain of ICTM will be delivered by five faculties from DAIICT. In addition to lecture in the pre-lunch session, lab sessions are also planned in the post lunch session.
The training program was formally inaugurated by Professor R. Nagaraj, Director of DAIICT, on May 23 2016 at the institute.
Dr Nagaraj in his inaugural address mentioned that DAIICT is primarily an ICT institute having both undergraduate and post graduate programs in different ICT domain.
The Programme Coordinator, Professor Ranendu Ghosh briefed the participants on the content and structure of the training programme.
