LONDON — All3Media, the production and distribution group owned by Discovery Communications and Liberty Global, is to back factual television and film producer Caravan, set up last year by Dinah Lord and Juliet Singer.

Caravan produces factual shows for the U.K., U.S. and international markets. Recent credits include “Panorama – Britain’s Mental Health Crisis” and “A Royal Wedding: Indian Style,” and they are in production for Sky Arts, BBC Three and NHK, and have funded development from DNI, Channel 4 and ITV.

Lord has previously executive produced shows for Brook Lapping, Swan Films, Silver River and Pulse Films for U.K. and international broadcasters. Previous to this Lord worked at the BBC. Her credits include “Grayson Perry,” “All in the Best Possible Taste” and “Who Are You?,” “Christian Louboutin,” “World’s Most Luxurious Shoes,” and “Extreme Brat Camp” for Channel 4/Al Jazeera America and Hiroshima for Channel5/NHK/ARTE.

Singer has previously developed, produced and directed factual programming for the BBC and several indies, including Wall to Wall, Silver River and The Garden, both in the U.K. and U.S. Singer’s production credits include “Child of our Time” for the BBC, “24hrs” in A&E and “The World’s Maddest Job Interview” for Channel 4, “Long Lost Family” for ITV and “New York Bridezillas” for WE TV.

Keith Havilland, CEO of Haviland Digital and an independent film producer, is also backing the company, and will be joining the board.
