Number of communal riots declined during 2 yrs of Modi govt: Naqvi

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) Asserting that the number of communal incidents had decreased by 82 per cent since the advent of the Modi government, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said along with other sections, the Centre had created a strong “atmosphere of development and trust” among minority communities as well in the last two years.
Addressing mediapersons, Mr Naqvi said keeping aside “political hypocrisy”, which had been going for last several decades in the name of secularism, the Modi government initiated and implemented effectively at ground level the programme and schemes which were aimed at education, development and security and over-all empowerment of minorities.
Minority communities, especially Muslims, had been left far behind in the race of development in the last several decades due to “politics of exploitation”, but they benefitted the most from the Modi government’s schemes centered at mantra of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas”, he said.
