Entertainment » OtherPosted at: May 24 2016 4:15PM Husband of Mukhiya candidate killed in Uttar PradeshBettiah, May 24 (UNI) Two days ahead of the 9th phase of the Panchayat election in West Champaran district of Bihar, the husband of a Mukhiya candidate was beaten to death due to poll-related dispute in the neighbouring Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh last evening. Police said here Nandlal Yadav, former Mukhiya and the husband of Mukhiya candidate Kunti Devi contesting election from Baijua Panchayat under Beria police station area in West Champaran district, was badly thrashed by supporters of a rival candidate Jai Narayan Yadav. Nandlal was beaten up after he opened fire on Jai Narayan's election procession at Garhiya Mohan village under Taraiya Sujan police station area in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
