Jayam Ravi signs a high-octane romantic flick with director Vijay

Jayam Ravi had a fantastic 2015 and it looks like 2016 will also see some good projects from him. He has now signed a film with director Vijay which is touted to be a romantic action entertainer.  

Jayam Ravi said, “I’ve always wanted to work with Vijay, because his presentation will suit my style of acting. While we’ve been planning to collaborate for a long time, we weren’t available for each other due to our respective commitments." In fact, Jayam Ravi was the first actor that director Vijay approached  when he wanted to turn director after assisting director Priyadarshan. Finally, he made his directorial debut with Kireedom. 

Reportedly, talks have been on between Ravi and the Vijay for the last two years. The Kollywood star is currently busy with Bogan and then a film with Miruthan director Shakti Soundar Rajan which will start in July. A film with Suseenthiran and his brother Jayam Raja are also on the cards for him. 

“We’re joining together for a massive action commercial entertainer. The project will elevate our status to the national level. We will commence work on this project as soon as both of us are relieved of our current commitments," added Jayam Ravi.

Director Vijay has revealed that he will be shooting their film in Chennai and in the Andamans from August. Currently, he is working on the Prabhudeva-Tamannaah film called Kaantha. This movie is said to be a thriller.
