Avika Gor and Manish Raisinghani, who played a couple in the TV show 'Sasural Simar Ka', are on a professional high. They attended the Cannes Film Festival, where their short film 'Ankahee Baatein', was screened in the Short Film Corner section. Overwhelmed with the response the film has received, she said while talking to a daily, “Our movie is based on a social cause. A few French producers have bought it to distribute it in different parts of the country.
We watched many short films at the festival. Attending Cannes was quite an eye-opener. The festival area is so large that you can explore it for days. We had a lot of fun interacting with people there. Our film screening had around 60 people in the audience, which was huge for us.”

But that’s not it. Avika and Manish announced two other short films at the festival. While they had a blast while attending the festival, the reel couple had a difficult time finding the right food since they both are vegetarian. “We found some pasta to eat one day, but we mainly survived on the theplas that I had carried with me,” she said.
