Three kids die as tempo overturns near Navsari

Surat: Three children, including two infants, died when a tempo carrying about 25 people overturned on NH-8 near Navsari on Monday evening .
The tempo overturned after crashing into a divider, police said. The passengers were on their way to Surat from Daman and Mumbai.
The children who died were identified as one -year-old Daksh Patel, two-and-a-half year old Vency Patel and three-year-old Angel Patel.Their families were returning from Daman. According to preliminary information, the victims' parents were living in Variyav near Surat.
"The injured have been sent to different hospitals of Navsari for treatment. Traffic on both sides of the NH-8 near Navsari was affected due to the accident." said BS Bharada, Navsari's district superintendent of police.
