Chairman of selectors Sandeep Patil yesterday said the committee discussed about Ranji Trophy's highest run-getter Shreyas Iyer, who did not find a place in Indian team for the limited overs tour to Zimbabwe and the Test team for the West Indies tour.

Iyer was the top-scorer (1321) in the Ranji season and played a key role in helping Mumbai lift the Ranji Trophy for the 41st time. Iyer, however, had a poor IPL with the Delhi Daredevils where his highest score was 19 in six innings.
"We discussed not only Shreyas, but other players also. I would not like to comment or name the other players. We do consider the current form and performances of all those who have participated in BCCI's domestic tournaments as well as the IPL. Unfortunately only 15 or 16 can go on a tour," Patil said.
