The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with first-round offensive tackle Jack Conklin on a four-year rookie contract Monday.

The deal, like all first-round picks it includes a team option for a fifth season, is worth nearly $16 million, including a nearly $10 million signing bonus, based on the NFL's slotting system for rookies.

The Titans traded down from No. 1 to No. 15 and then traded up to No. 8 overall to select Conklin out of Michigan State.

Conklin, 21, is expected to start the season at right tackle. He also practiced at left tackle during the team's recent rookie minicamp.

The 6-foot-6, 308-pound Conklin started 38 of 39 games in three seasons at Michigan State. He started 35 games at left tackle and three games at right tackle.

The Titans have now reached deals with eight of their 10 draft picks. Second-round outside linebacker Kevin Dodd of Clemson and third-round safety Kevin Byard of Middle Tennessee State remain unsigned.

The Titans' veterans and rookies will be on the field when organized team activities begin on Tuesday.
