A 22-year-old nurse from Kerala was found dead in her room in a Wazirabad paying guest hostel on Monday morning.

Gurgaon: A 22-year-old nurse from Kerala was found dead in her room in a Wazirabad paying guest hostel on Monday morning. Prima facie, an overdose of medicine is suspected to be the reason behind her death, police said, adding that her body had several needle marks, and many syringes were found lying in her room.
According to police, Lakshmi was working at Paras Hospital in the city.
On Monday morning, neighbours knocked at her door after she failed to wake up in time. Despite making repeated attempts to wake Lakshmi up, neighbours didn't receive any response from her.
Following this, they approached care taker of the PG hostel and broke open the door.
They then called up cops. After receiving information, Police reached the spot, send her body for postmortem and informed her familyy about the incident. "The nurse's family will reach Gurgaon soon. The cause of her death can be ascertained only after the autopsy," said inspector Gaurav Phogat, SHO, Sushant Lok.
Dr Neeraj Bishnoi, facility director, Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon, said,
Paras Hospital authorities said they are not aware of the circumstances which led to her death. "At the outset, we extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. The hospital is unaware of the circumstances behind the incident."
