Denizens were in for relief from sultry weather after high-velocity winds hovering o ver the region on Monday brought down temperature by four degrees.

Allahabad: Denizens were in for relief from sultry weather after high-velocity winds hovering o ver the region on Monday brought down temperature by four degrees.
Weather experts said wind started blowing due to continuous heating of the region from past two weeks. They said that slight drizzle may occur but these should not be mistaken as pre-monsoon showers.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 41 degrees while minimum stood at at 30.5 degrees. The maximum humidity was 64% while minimum stood at 36.
A weather expert of Allahabad University predicted that monsoon may arrive between June 20-25.
Meanwhile, people came out at the recreational spots, including the newly renovated Chandrasekhar Azad Park to enjoy the pleasant evening. The intense heat wave and the temperature hovering around 46 degrees had make it virtually impossible for the people to came out day during day time. The cool winds in the evening were enjoyed by the people.
