MBABANE – Hardly two weeks after her valuables were stolen in Nelspruit, South Africa, gospel artist Nonhle Mtsetfwa was on Saturday night involved in a car accident.

The artist was from a church service at Mpolonjeni, in Siteki, when the vehicle she was travelling in with her father was hit from behind by another car.

The vehicle, a Toyota Regius (eight seater) was driven by Nonhle’s father.
The accident occurred just after 10pm as the artist was going back to Manzini, where she lives.

Nonhle was not injured while her father escaped with minor injuries.
Nonhle’s father confirmed the accident, saying his daughter did not sustain any injuries.

Hit

“We had attended a service at Mpolonjeni and as we were driving back to Manzini, a white Toyota Corolla hit us in the back. We were lucky as we survived. I was the only one who sustained minor injuries while Nonhle escaped unharmed,” he said.
Mtsetfwa thanked God that they all survived, saying had it not been that God was on their side, the accident could have been worse.

“God was with us and I should say we thank him for our survival. It is through His grace that we escaped with minor injuries,” he said.
He urged the Christian community to pray for them as they are going through challenges lately.

“We have experienced several challenges but through the prayers of believers, I am sure this will pass. It was just an accident and it will pass,” he said.
Two weeks ago, the same car was broken into while parked in Nelspruit and valuable items, which include E2 500 cash, were stolen.
