There was an overwhelming response to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam’s annual Subhapradam programme organised in association with the Hindu Prachara Parishad at Vivekananda Vidyaniketan High School in Bhagatnagar here .

Contrary to expectations, the girls outnumbered boys in the enrolment at the week-long residential programme. A total of 465 girls and 239 boys enrolled for the training programme which is aimed at propagating moral and ethical values among the adolescents.

Few years ago when the programme was started, there were hardly a few takers, with the enrolment being below 200 students. Now, it has crossed 700 students’ mark.

Chief Whip Koppula Eshwara and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Tula Uma formally inaugurated the programme on Monday.
