P.A. Abdul Vahid, a BA student of Victoria College, Palakkad, and E. Sujith, an employee of the Revenue Department have won the first prize in the Suchitwa Keralam quiz organised by the Kerala State Suchitwa Mission in association with Quiz Kerala. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs.50,000. The team comprising Shibin Azad of the Defence Accounts department, Thrissur, and M.P. Amith, Civil Service Coaching, Thrissur, bagged the second prize of Rs.30,000 while the third prize of Rs.20,000 went to S. Aswin, Plus One student, KE Mannanam, and S. Biju, Engineer, BSNL, Kozhikode.
Executive Director, Suchitwa Mission, K. Vasuki presented the awards. The quiz was conducted as part of an awareness campaign against pollution and unscientific waste disposal. — Special Correspondent
