Bengaluru: Nearly eight hours of study every day for a year and guidance from seniors helped Viraj Ananth, a student of Vidyashilp Academy , secure the first rank in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Results of the test, the gateway to premier law universities, were declared on Monday.
Viraj, a science student of the Cambridge International Examinations system, scored 174.5 out of 200 marks in his first attempt.He said he took a year's break to prepare for CLAT.
“Debate competitions and studying with my friends helped me perform well. I also had my seniors as mentors,“ says the 18-year-old, who won the Harvard World Model United Nations competition last year. Besides, he worked for three months in a startup that organizes workshops for school students. Viraj wants to join the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru.
