PANAJI: Reacting to St Andre MLA Vishnu Surya Wagh’s statements questioning the money the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) used to organize the rally on Sunday, AAP memberValmiki Naik challenged the MLA to come on a public platform with the accounts and expenditure of the BJP for a discussion. “I’ll bring the expenditure and accounts of AAP and let the public see who’s hiding what. This is nothing but a sign of BJP’s fear of the success of the rally.
Whatever they say and do now is too little too late. The AAP is the only party that has 100 per cent transparency in both its donations and expenditure,” Naik said.
“Wagh is deputy speaker and holds a politically neutral position, so either he doesn’t understand the gravitas of his own position or the BJP doesn’t give two hoots for political neutrality,” he added.
The BJP government and Modi government have gone to court over AAP’s accounts and this has backfired and the BJP government has had to certify to the court that there is nothing wrong with the donations or expenditure of the AAP. “It is strange that the accusation is coming from a party where 80 per cent of its donations come from unknown sources,” he said.
