Gloucestershire took control of a rain-affected first day against Northamptonshire in Bristol.
Steady wickets fell throughout the day with Josh Shaw (4-38) getting openers Ben Duckett (11) and Rob Newton (18).
Fellow paceman Craig Miles also provided good support with two wickets while New Zealander Kieran Noema-Barnett took 1-8 from two overs.
Steven Crook's 43 not out from 68 balls was the main resistances as Northants ended on 134-7 on a shortened day.
After rain at the start of the day, an early lunch was taken in Bristol with the first play eventually starting at 14:30 BST in the afternoon.
Northants skipper Alex Wakely won the toss and chose to bat, a decision he may regret as they look for a first win of the season.
