Wife accuses soldier of trying to traffic her

Khandwa, MP, May 23 (UNI) Just a month after her marriage to a soldier posted in Punjab, a woman – who hails from Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district – has accused her husband of trying to traffic her for prostitution, police said.
Keertibala Saini, who possesses an M Tech degree, was married to Punjab’s Moga-resident Sonu Saini on April 20. Sonu is posted at Halwara Air Force Station. Shortly after marriage, Sonu not only demanded dowry from Keerti’s family but also used to beat his wife.
Moreover, Keerti alleged that Sonu once beat her up and took her to a desolate place with the aim of selling her. However, she was saved as the intended buyer did not turn up. Later, Keerti managed to escape from Moga with the help of a neighbour and came to her maternal home here.
