Khajuraho continues to reel at 47 C

The state capital got a little relief from the scorching heat wave conditions with the maximum temperature being recorded at 42.5 degrees Celsius but district of Bundelkhand and other areas in northern MP are still reeling under sultry weather conditions.

Bhopal: The state capital got a little relief from the scorching heat wave conditions with the maximum temperature being recorded at 42.5 degrees Celsius but district of Bundelkhand and other areas in northern MP are still reeling under sultry weather conditions.
Though the maximum temperature in Bhopal was two degrees more than normal, it was less than the previous days when it had hovered between 45 and 46.7 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Khajuraho is still the hottest place in MP where a maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius was recorded on Sunday. It has been over a month now that the mercury continues to stick at the high mark, making life miserable for citizens. It was also cloudy in Khajuraho. One mm of rain was recorded in Naugaon, few kms from Khajuraho. In fact, it was not only hot but extremely humid as well in Chhattarpur district on Sunday.
In Gwalior and Chambal division of north MP, day temperatures varied between 44 and 45 degree Celsius. The hill station of Pachmarhi also continues to be hot at 38 degrees Celsius, with the temperature being 3 degrees above normal. The weather office has forecast that day temperatures are likely to fall marginally over the next 24 hours.
