Model career centres (MCC) that will come up at four places in Rajasthan will have the career counselling facilities for the applicants through online platforms and mobile phones.

Jaipur: Model career centres (MCC) that will come up at four places in Rajasthan will have the career counselling facilities for the applicants through online platforms and mobile phones. Under the Union government's initiative Kota, Bharatpur, Bikaner and Jaipur have been selected for setting up these centres.
The MCCs would be helping jobseekers connect with potential employers and skill providers.
However, major emphasis would be placed on the counselling of the applicants. Besides, skill providers will be allowed to list the courses on offer and upload the course content online.
"Focus will primarily be on counselling and guiding students so that they can make a right choice in career. If anyone is found lacking in skills then he or she will be imparted training. Aim is to provide employment to jobseekers while giving necessary talent and better equipped workforce to the industry through MCCs," said an official of labour and employment department.
Apart from applying for jobs, portal at MCCs would provide applicants an access to training programmes, information on job fairs, trends on industries and sectors and salaries that companies are offering for particular job profile.
Through this portal jobseekers can also book an appointment with a career counsellor.
According to the officials, advertisers on portal for foreign jobs would be duly checked by the Government of India. "It will be a major relief for Rajasthan as several people form state goes abroad for work. There have been instances when middlemen had either duped them or employer harassed the workers," added the official.
