It was a case of 'winner alright' for the immaculate Kirsty Farrell as she romped home with the big fashion prize from the Curragh races.

The 20-year-old from Newry, Co Down, was first past the post for an all-white lace ensemble from the boutique that she co-owns with her mum, Rosie's Closet, with a headpiece from Millinery By Mairead.

She said that she was "really delighted" to have won the prize of a weekend stay in Kildare's Kilashee House hotel and a €2,000 voucher.

However this isn't the first time in the winners' enclosure for Kirsty.

The fashion-forward filly, who's also a clothes designer, previously won at Punchestown back in 2015 as well as last month.

She caught the eye of celebrity judge Yvonne Connolly who chose her as the winner of the Killashee Irish Tatler Style Icons at Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival yesterday.

Also visiting the Curragh was fashion luminary actress Joanna Lumley.

The 'Absolutely Fabulous' star, who turned 70 on May 1, was invited over after having one of the day's races named after her.
