Man cheated of 47 lakh in car sale
A 42-year-old resident of Nandini Park in Nana Mava has lodged a complaint against two persons for cheating him of Rs 42 lakh. Complainant Harshad Korat told Malaviyanagar police that he had sold his Jaguar car to Anand Doshi, a resident of Sardarnagar, for Rs 54 lakh. Doshi paid him Rs seven lakh as the first instalment but did not give him the remaining money and instead sold the car to one Shailendrasinh Gohil, who lived in Neel's City.Neither of the two paid him the pending amount.
Jobless man commits suicide
A 46-year-old man from Dada village of Amreli's Liliya taluka allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree on Saturday evening. The deceased Suresh Panani took the extreme steap as he was unemployed for a long time, primary probe revealed.
Jewellery stolen from shop
Ramesh Patadiya, a jeweller from Motimarad village in Upleta taluka, has lodged a complaint against unidentified persons for theft of silver and gold jewellery of Rs 97,000. The jewellerywas stolen between May 12 and May 13 from his shop Vruj Jewellers.
Man held with liquor in city
Jayesh Sindhi, 30, a resident of Zulelalnagar in Junction Plot area, was nabbed with Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and Rs 16,000 cash on Saturday night. Sindhi was caught from a guest house.
