May 22, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 12, 2016 07:47 pm IST - Bengaluru:

A pedestrian died after he was hit by a bike on Friday evening near Electronics City.

The deceased, identified as Nagaraj (62), sustained severe head injuries.

He was a retired employee of NGEF. The motorcycle driver and pillion rider also sustained injuries.

The Electronics City Police Station alleged that though they had called the NHAI ambulance to shift the body, it did not come for more than three hours.

“They misled us by saying that they would reach in 5 to 10 minutes.

They didn’t come at all. Eventually, we used a private ambulance to shift the body,” said an official.

He added that as barricades had not been fixed, people were crossing the highway at odd places.
