Internationally renowned film maker Girish Kasaravalli is also supporting the students. Along with Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chairperson S.V. Rajendra Singh Babu, he met the Minister for Higher Education and appealed Mr. T.B. Jayachandra to intervene.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Jayachandra, who promised the directors’ duo of constituting a 10-member committee comprising representatives of Kannada film industry to study the problems of GFTI students, has forgotten his promise,” said Mr. Agin.
