A 19-year old boy committed suicide on Saturday morning after hanging himself from a tree in Khera Wali village in Pinjore. According to cops, they were informed about the body and a team of cops reached the spot.

Panchkula: A 19-year old boy committed suicide on Saturday morning after hanging himself from a tree in Khera Wali village in Pinjore. According to cops, they were informed about the body and a team of cops reached the spot. The victim was identified as Praveen Kumar, a resident of Khera Wali village, and was living in the village with his family. Cops said that Kumar left his home on Thursday and his family members had registered a missing report with the police.
According to cops, Kumar was upset for the past few days but did not reveal the reason, and had left home without informing anybody.
JBT teachers to hold rally today: Junior Basic Training (JBT) teachers on protest for past seven days at the Sector 5 ground will hold a rally on Sunday in all sectors. The teachers said, "The Haryana government has started campaign ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' in the state, and as we have 60% women candidates who have cleared the JBT examination and are qualified for the job, we will hold a Beti Lagao rally in the city."
Youth caught stealing from mosque donation box: Satpal, 21, of Bathinda was arrested for stealing money from the donation box of a local mosque in Sector 20. The youth was apprehended by Mohammed Munir, who is a clerk at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and a resident of Sector 30. The incident took place on May 20. Munir came to pay obeisance at the mosque when he spotted Satpal stealing money from the donation box with the help of a thick bomboo stick.
Snatchings reported, vehicle stolen: Two motorcyclists escaped after snatching the gold chain of a woman of Sector 40 on Friday night. The woman was near her house when the incident took place. Meanwhile, another woman reported to police that her laptop and a charger was stolen from a gurdwara in Sector 8. Kuldeep Singh of Sector 56 reported that his motorcycle bearing Punjab registration number was stolen from near his house. Police have registered cases and started investigation.Cops took the body to civil hospital for postmortem and it was handed over to family members afterwards. Station House Officer (SHO), Pinjore, Mohender Singh, said, "There was no suicide note either, Kumar was not happy about something which had compelled him to take this extreme step." Cops registered a case under Section 174 of IPC.
