Burdwan blast: JMB duo in addl NIA chargesheet
NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday filed a supplementary chargesheet against two Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terrorists - Habibul Hoque and Enamul Molla - in the Burdwan blast case.
Officials said that Hoque (30), a resident of North 24 Paraganas, gave shelter to one of the prime absconding accused, Moulana Yousuf, after the blast in Burdwan in October 2014.
NIA says that Hoque arranged training camps prior to the blast for members of JMB at Ankipur Mosque and Nayabastiya Mosque where training was imparted by Yousuf, Kalam and Habibur (absconding accused in Burdwan Blast case).
At these camps, provocative video clippings were shown and recruits were also given physical and endurance training.Officials said Hoque also recruited members into JMB and collected funds. He forged identity documents and procured a fake EPIC card to conceal his identity.
The second accused, Molla (25), a resident of South 24 Parganas, is a highly-motivated JMB member and has been involved in harbouring absconders being sought for links to the terror group.
He has been in constant touch with absconding accused Moulana Yousuf and Abul Kalam alias Ibrahim and arranged for shelter for them after the Burdwan blast. NIA officials said he also assisted in the recruitment of new members into the outfit.
