Addressing an impressive rally at the historic Chappar Chiri village, former Congress leader Jagmeet Singh Brar today said his foremost agenda was to end the ‘dynastic and feudalistic politics of the Badal’s and Capt Amarinder Singh.’

Taking an oath at a place where Banda Singh Bahadur won a decisive war against the Mughals, firebrand speaker Brar said that he would not rest till he had achieved the mission of ending the rule of a handful of feudal families in the state.

Explaining his choice of the venue, he said it was in the month of May when the historic battle of Chappar Chiri was fought against the Mughals. Today, being Budh purnima, he invoked Punjabiat to pull the state back out of shadow of darkness.

The former MP said that there had been cases of corruption against them. However, he did not utter a word against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In fact, he has been praising the AAP in the recent past.

“Holding rally at a place away from his stronghold, Malwa, was in it self a development to notice,” observed a senior Congress leader.

Alleging that Amarinder and the Badal’s had been helping each other, he said that the former boycotted the Khadoor Sahib by-election to help the Akalis. Capt Amarinder Singh opposed the CBI probe in the multi-crore drug racket. He alleged that both the Akalis as well as Congressmen were past of the drug cartel.

‘Expelled without a hearing’

Jagmeet Brar said, “When I told the AICC president Sonia Gandhi two years ago to hold some introspection, I was expelled. When I again spoke against dynastic rule, I have been expelled again. Now, entire country is talking about the poor performance of the Congress.”

Capt: He has lost  balance of mind

Chandigarh: PPCC chief Capt Amarinder Singh on Saturday said that he had sympathy for expelled party leader Jagmeet Singh Brar and he really did not bother or care as to what Brar has said about him or his family. “I can understand the state of mind of a person who has been politically orphaned,” he said. While responding to Brar’s allegations, he said, “The man seems to have lost both peace and balance of mind”.
