QRT called in to check unclaimed bag on WR train

The railway protection force (RPF) swung into action on Friday after one of its constables spotted an unclaimed baggage in a Borivli-bound train. With the help of a quick response team (QRT), the RPF personnel examined the bag in the empty bogie and ascertained that there was no explosive.

Mumbai: The railway protection force (RPF) swung into action on Friday after one of its constables spotted an unclaimed baggage in a Borivli-bound train. With the help of a quick response team (QRT), the RPF personnel examined the bag in the empty bogie and ascertained that there was no explosive.
Relieved, the officers checked the baggage and found computer accessories in it.
The police also found a mobile number and the name of Mangesh Mishra (44), a resident of Kandivili (E).
The police called up Mishra and made inquiries. Mishra told police that he had boarded a train from Marine Lines and forgot his luggage. He was allowed to collect his luggage after verfiication.
