Lady Gaga has come out in support of Ke$ha and slammed producer Dr. Luke, hilariously comparing him to a Disney villain.
"Isn't it strange that it's legal to own a woman this way?" Gaga wrote on Twitter, sharing an article about Dr. Luke's recent decision to bar Ke$ha from performing at the Billboard Music Awards.
Gaga then compared Dr. Luke to Ursula, the half-woman, half-octopus villain from Disney's 1989 animated hit Little Mermaid. "Listen Ursula, we want her voice back #freeKesha," Gaga added.
After initially denying Ke$ha the chance to take part in the Billboard Music Awards, Dr. Luke's record label Kemosabe released a follow-up statement giving her permission to perform on stage. She is scheduled to take part in a tribute to Bob Dylan.
