Slam dunk: 91% for basketball champ

Anational level basketball player, Nikita Gautam of Powai’s Kendriya Vidyalaya, who scored 91% in the Commerce stream, had more things on her plate than just academics. She would reach school in the early hours to practise her game before class. She said, “It was a lot of hard work but today, after the results, it all feels worth it.”
She believes that sports release a lot of pent-up tension during exams.“I would solve a lot of question papers and take breaks in between to play a game or two of basketball. Even during my exams, I chose to play in the morning to refresh myself. I also like drawing and playing the piano so I would devote time for the same too. Nikita plans on getting into the business field. “I owe this result to my parents and teachers because they never stopped me from playing.”
