Singhania school wins cricket tournament

Thane: Host Singhania school has bagged inter-school under-14 Singhania trophy cricket title beating Vasant Vihar school.
Winning the toss, Singhania scored 118 runs in 33 overs. Om Keshkamat hit the highest 45 runs. Aayush Iyer put Singhania at a comfortable position with 22 runs. Omkar Nandivadekar and Kaushik Bhardwaj of rival side bowled quite well and took 4 and 3 wickets respectively to restrict the winning but in vain.
Vasant Vihar scored just 113 runs before being bundled out in 28 overs. Displaying all-rounds skill, Kaushik Bhardwaj scored 20 runs but failed to rescue his team from the brink of a narrow defeat.
Singhania School team won the match by 5 runs. -- B B Nayak
