A review of the rest of Saturday's Goodwood action as Romantic View made a big impression for Godolphin.

The Royal meeting looks to be on the near horizon for Romantic View following her clear-cut dismissal of some well-related rivals in the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai ebfstallions.com Fillies' Novice Stakes at Goodwood.

The going had turned officially good to soft but this beautifully-bred daughter of Shamardal out of a Monsun mare coped with it splendidly to kick away from her rivals and score by two and three-quarter lengths from Pepita.

James Ferguson, representative for winning owners Godolphin, indicated a step up in class could well be on the cards for the 11/8 winner.

He said: "She had obviously learned a lot from her first run at Ascot and Martin (Lane) said as soon as he asked her to quicken she put the race to bed pretty quickly.

"It's good to see our horses running all the way to the line and she could be an Albany Stakes filly, subject to discussion between dad (John Ferguson) and Sheikh Mohammed."

The Ebor could be a long-term target for Kinema (11/2) after his length and neck triumph over Monotype and Notarised in the Al Basti Equiworld Handicap.

Trainer Ralph Beckett was celebrating the return to his yard of owner Richard Pegum and he explained: "Richard is back in Sydney and I'm delighted that he sent me this horse.

"I've had him for around five weeks and I think we'll carry on running him over this trip. Let's see what the handicapper does, but maybe he will develop into an Ebor horse."

The market spoke volumes for Pettochside in the Al Basti Equiworld Supporting British Racing Veterans' Handicap and John Bridger's seven-year-old did not disappoint, powering clear under Mitch Godwin to score doing handstands.

Backed from 5-1 in the morning into 7/4 favourite, Pettochside had finished second in a race here on Thursday. His trainer John Bridger said: "The ground was too quick for him that day. I was praying for rain and it came in time."
