IPL 2016: Delhi Daredevils vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Match 52
IPL 2016: Delhi Daredevils vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Match 52
This is it! Delhi have defeated Hyderabad in this must-win match. Tomorrow, we have a Super Saturday and the doubleheaders are back too. First up, it is Pune versus Punjab at 1600 IST which is more of a pride game. And the second game is of high importance as the defending Champions Mumbai will play against the debutant Gujarat in a crunch game at 2000 IST. Until the, take care and goodnight!
KARUN NAIR, THE MAN OF THE MATCH says this win will be one of the most important one for him. On his journey in the league, he adds that he played his game with good cricketing shots and is really happy to be on the winning side.
ZAHEER KHAN says they played really well to win this close game. He also says that they are having a great tournament and credits the entire team for staying up on their toes. He hopes that they should be more clinically. On Nair's knock, he states that it is all about youngsters as they are playing freely and embracing the game well. On their bowling, he mentions that their bowlers were superb. On Carlos, he adds that the run out was the key in this match.
DAVID WARNER says he doesn't have much to talk as they dropped simple catches and that cost them the match. Credits Nair for his brilliant batting. On their bowling, he states that they are going great and would like to bounce back by keeping this defeat aside. On their upcoming game against Kolkata, he admits that they need to reframe well and play their best game in that match.
Hyderabad will be very disappointed today in the field as they were very average out there. There were drop catches and unfortunate not out decision against Nair when he was on mere 23. Given that out would have seen Hyderabad on the winning side. In the bowling department, the absence of Ashish Nehra was certainly felt as they seemed spineless. Barring Sran with 2apiece and Mustafizur with 1apiece. Rahman bowled a brilliant penultimate over by concededing just 5 runs. At the end, 13 were scored of the final over to see Delhi home. After this win, Delhi can still make it to the playoffs and Hyderabad would like to win their last game now to feel more secured. Stay tuned for the presentation...
What a chase! Karun Nair aka Delhi hero with the bat! After restricting Hyderabad to a moderate total, they needed to start off well with their in-form de Kock up the order. Today was a rare day as he departed early on. That didn't stop Delhi especially Nair and Pant to play their shots as they put on a partnership of 73-runs. Zaheer's XI lost Pant and Duminy in a quick succession but Nair went to score his fifty as he had small cameo in Carlos and Sanju at the end.
