AICTE chairman Sahasrabudhe visits VTU

BELAGAVI: Prof Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi visited Visvesvaraya Technological University's (VTU) Jnana Sangama campus here on Saturday.
After receiving felicitation in a programme, Sahasrabudhe expressed the need to interact, to have innovation culture in every institution and the establishment of incubation centers to help and create the entrepreneurs and build the confidence in the industry to remove the gap between application and learning.
"The role of student and teacher has changed significantly over the years. The barrier is to be removed between student and teacher by making teacher available 24/7 for interaction. The availability of innovation methodology for teaching will have to be adopted by the teacher and make classroom interactive and helpful", Sahasrabudhe said.
Shivaprasad Bandagi , Dean and PG coordinator explained in the new initiatives taken in the university and about Centre of Excellence of VTU in Academics and Research. Registrar (evaluation) HG Shekharappa presided over.
