Shimla, May 22 (UNI) As many as 41 people were killed and 35 others injured in three separate road accidents in Shimla, Kinnaur and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh during the past 24 hours. Eleven people, inlucding four women and a child, were killed and 13 others injured when Chopal Thharoch bound HRTC bus, carrying 24 people on the board, skidded off the road near Bajrolipulh near Chopal this morning. A senior police official told UNI that four persons died on the spot while others succumbed to their injuries on way or in the hospital. The injured were rushed to Zonal Hospital Theog. In second incident, 13 people, including a child, were killed and one injured when a Balero camper skidded off the road near Chhota Khamba of Badagaon village last night, police source said. The vehicle, carrying 14 villagers, skidded off the road at Chhotakhamba of Badagaon village near Bhawanagar sub division of Kinnaur district when they were going to attend a party in the nearby village. As many as 13 persons died on the spot and the one managed who jumped from the vehicle received multiple injuries. The deceased were identified as Shaikhar. Ravinder, Deepak, Pawan, Sharan, Yogma, Rajinder, Shiv, Arvind, Ramesh and Sharwan and injured Udaya. Local MLA and Himachal Assembly Deputy Speaker Jagat Singh Negi has expressed shock over the incident. In the third accident, 17 people were killed and 21 others received injuries when a private bus rolled down into a 80-meter gorge near Chauhara dam under Saloni sub division of Chamba district yesterday. The bus was on its way from Sanghni to Dalhousie and most of the passengers were local. The deceased included two residents of Punjab’s Sangrur town. UNI ML DB SHK 1815
